About Diamond Dominator
Welcome to Diamond Dominator! If you’ve ever struggled to solve a four-dimensional lineup puzzle before the umpire calls “Play ball,” you’re exactly why this app exists.
Meet the Creator
Hi, I’m Chris—the creator, developer, and chief logic-mapper behind Diamond Dominator.
By day, I work in tech and marketing, but when the weekend hits, you’ll find me out on the dirt, coaching softball.
Why I Built Diamond Dominator
Every coach knows the lineup headache. Trying to balance fair playing time, optimize defensive rotations, manage pitching changes, and put the team in the best position to compete is a massive logistical challenge.
I wanted a tool that could handle the complex constraints of youth sports lineup optimization without requiring a data science degree to operate. When I couldn’t find an elegant, modern solution that fit the bill, I decided to build it myself.
Diamond Dominator was born to take the guesswork and spreadsheet fatigue out of the dugout, letting coaches focus on what actually matters: player development, game-day strategy, and enjoying the game.
A True Family Affair
This app wouldn’t exist without my family. My wife, Kate, and our five kids are the heartbeat behind everything I do. From enduring endless multi-game weekend tournaments to helping me test out new software features right out in the backyard, their energy and shared love for the game keep this project moving forward.

Every element of the Diamond Dominator logo was designed with intention to represent the game we love and the logic built into the app.
The Base Shape: The overall geometry of the emblem forms a classic softball diamond, grounding the application entirely in the sport.
The Lineup: The design is constructed using 9 shapes in total, representing the core foundation of a team—the nine players who take the field and fill out the lineup card.
The Bases: The white squares represent the shape of bases on the field.
The Center Circle: The focal point at the heart of the logo pulls triple duty:
- It represents the commanding presence of the pitcher’s circle.
- It mirrors the shape of the softball itself.
- In the context of the app’s loading icon, it symbolizes a moving, dynamic position in the lineup, constantly optimizing for the perfect configuration.
See it in motion—the app’s loading animation, optimizing the lineup one shape at a time.
